Ivy Style

Recently, I was asked to write a guest post for Ivy Style, a great website that focuses on the  wardrobe of Old Money, which is not really “preppy” as such, but more the attire of many Ivy League students and professors.

The style, which is discussed in great detail on the site, hasn’t changed much in the last half century, which is sort of the point: to buy and wear clothes that are designed  to look good, last forever, and never go out of style.

Please enjoy the article, which discusses the novel “The Great Gatsby”, and the contrasts between Old Money and New Money.

You’ll find it here.

Thank you.  Happy Monday.

  1. Hello! I know this is somewwhat off topic but I was
wondering iif you knew where I could get a captcha plugin for my comment form?
I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m
having problems finding one? Thanks a lot!

    1. Hi, Generico. Thank you for the comment, and my sincere apologies for the delay in responding. I’m hopelessly low-tech. Perhaps WordPress or one of our readers could offer some advice…? Again, thanks, and sorry. – BGT

  2. Hi Byron, thank you for sharing. I made note of what I consider quotable quote, “If talent does what it can and genius what it must, then Old Money does what it should.” All the best, Klaar
