Five years as a prisoner of war.
Returned to Castle Leslie, family home in Ireland, at age 78, after living all over the world.
Spent 85th birthday partying in Ibiza with people 1/2 to 1/4 his age.

Sir John Leslie was very well liked by everyone and much mourned. He was usually known as “Jack” and sometimes “Uncle Jack”. He was the subject of a television programme made in 2002 called “Uncle Jack and the Boom-Boom music”.
