Why Dress Matters

An articulate video from British politician Jacob Rees-Mogg.

I don’t always agree with his politics, but I couldn’t agree more with his opinion here.

  1. Yes! People forget that there is a psychology to dressing well and appropriately. He’s correct that casual Fridays cause casual work ethics! Thanks for the reminder, Byron.

I don’t want my cardiologist discussing surgery procedures while wearing shorts, a tee shirt and a pair of Crocs. Is my condition like a crossword puzzle to pass the time on a Friday morning? Have I interrupted his golf strategy-planning session? Unless it’s an emergency, I dress appropriately for the occasion, my cardiologist can and should do the same.

  2. Referring to the (oft-times) state of dress of the current British Prime Minister a reader of The Telegraph stated that she wished to see a ‘statesman’ occupying the office. Not a ‘mate’.
